Kotoko players finally paid 2-month outstanding salary plus unpaid winning bonus

Footballghana.com can report that players of Asante Kotoko have finally been paid their outstanding 2-months salary plus winning bonuses for five of their matches in the Ghana Premier League. 

There has been uneasiness amongst the players in the last couple of months due to some monies they were owed by the club. In addition to being owed two months' salary, the playing body was also owed winning bonuses for their matches against Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts of Oak, Karela, Dreams and Bechem United.

On Thursday, March 27, 2020, a report in the Ghanaian media revealed that the players were planning to protest to management to demand their money.

Earlier this afternoon, the management of Asante Kotoko have fully settled the outstanding salaries and bonuses of the players.

This follows a directive from the Executive Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei which instructed the management to see to the full payment of all unpaid debts.
