Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have revealed that their attempts to settle the entitlements owed former head coach Maxwell Konadu were rejected by the gaffer.
The club and the experienced tactician are currently in a bit of a tussle following the failure to pay his unpaid salary and signing on fee since his contract was terminated last year.
While the story continues to develop every day, the friction between the two parties keeps worsening.
In a bid to provide clarity for fans, Asante Kotoko has in the latest press release indicated that attempts to pay the entitlements of coach Maxwell Konadu were rejected.
“Just when the club was about to effect payment, Mr. Konadu in an undated letter insisted that he would not accept the GHe80, 500. 00 as full and final payment and proceeded to file a case against the Club at the GFA's Players' Status Committee,” part of a release from the Reds read.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko has disclosed that the contract between the club and coach Maxwell Konadu requires that he returns the official club vehicle given to him before his entitlements are paid.
