Kotoko set to play Kum Apem Stars and Asokwa Deportivo in friendlies

Ghana’s sole representative in the 2018-19 CAF inter-club competitions, Asante Kotoko are set to play two friendly matches as part of their preparations before their yet to be determined Confederation Cup preliminary round match.

The Porcupine Warriors returned to Kumasi after a 10-day training camp in Takoradi where they faced lower division side Unicon FC and Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC in friendly matches as they intensified preparations ahead of the CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

On Tuesday morning, The Reds travelled to Asante Mampong to continue its preparations ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup journey.

The two friendlies will be against Mampong based side Kum Apem Stars on November 23 and Asokwa Deportivo on Sunday in Kumasi.

Their second friendly game against Asokwa Deportivo will take place at Adako Jachie training grounds.

Coach Charles Kwabla Akunnor and his charges are preparing rigorously ahead of their biggest task in the 2018-19  CAF Confederation Cup campaign as they look to improve upon their poor display in Africa the last term.
