Asante Kotoko coach Paa Kwesi Fabin says his side is still work in progress despite beating arch-rivals Hearts of Oak 2-0 on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in the first leg of their two-legged friendly.

A brace from Burkinabe striker Sogne Yacouba ensured the Porcupine Warriors have a two-goal lead ahead of the 2nd leg next week.

Speaking after the game, the experienced gaffer claims the victory feels good but his side are not the finished article yet.

''It feels good anytime a team wins so it feels good. The last time we played Hearts, I had not found my rhythm because I was just going the team,'' he told StarTimes in a post-match speech.

''Since that we have been training hard and we told the boys to play their normal game and you could see the confidence was there.

''It [the team] is still work in progress. We are not there yet. We are seeking to add one or two players to strengthen the team.''
