Kotoko team manager Godwin Ablordey insists goal scoring wont be problem next season

Team manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Godwin Ablordey insists the technical team is working on resolving the canker of goal scoring that derailed the Porcupine Warriors 2016/17 season.

The Kumasi Based side struggled to score goals last season, just managing 22 in the Ghana Premier to finish 5th on the table.

Despite winning the MTN FA Cup, the burden of goal scoring was left with Saddick Adams who bagged in a hat-trick in the final of the FA Cup against Hearts of Oak.

“We are okay for now. Our main problem last season (on the field) were the strikers and the issue of goal scoring, which we are taking care of. I’m looking forward to our squad to be beefed-up as soon as possible” said Ablordey.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been drawn with Club Athletic Renaissance Aiglon from Congo in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors have released five players and are looking at beefing the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
