Kotoko to get new bus after horrific accident

A philanthropist who wants to remain anonymous has promised to provide a new bus to Kumasi Asante Kotoko following Wednesday night’s horrific accident at the Nkawkaw highway.

The accident claimed the life of their equipment officer, Mr. Obeng Asare with several players injured. Coach Steve Pollack and Ollenu Ashittey had to undergo surgeries.

The bus crashed into a stationery bus carrying fertilizers leaving it completely damaged but the business man according to reports made a phone call to C.E.O of the club Mr. Kwame Kyei to make the promise.

Lots of clubs and individuals have sent in their donations and words of goodwill as the team recovers from the trauma.

The Sports Ministry and the Ashanti Regional Minister all donated GHC10, 000 to the Club to foot the medical bills of the injured players and officials.

Ghana Premier League side Inter-Allies who played with Kotoko on friday afternoon before the incident also sent delegation to donate to the Club.
