Kumasi Asante Kotoko trio, Amos Frimpong, Ahmed Adams and Felix Annan have made cash donations to their teammates after the WAFU triumph.

The three players helped Ghana to win the WAFU tournament after beating Nigeria 4-1 in the finals.

Amos Frimpong played a vital role in the team with Ahmed Adams called on from the bench to solidify the midfield. Goalkeeper Felix Annan deputized Joseph Addo.

After helping Ghana to success at the just ended competition, the team grabbed the cash prize of US $100,000 and the President of the Country, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo also awarded the team with another $100,000.

The trio who returned to training ahead of the FA Cup semifinal clash with Medeama made the donation to their teammates.

Captain Amos Frimpong explained the donation could lift the morale in camp as they prepare to face Medeama FC.

“The three of us thought it wise not to use what we got from the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament alone, so we decided to make this donation to the team and also to boost their spirit ahead of our encounter with Medeama SC,” Frimpong said in an interview.

Meanwhile, Accra Hearts of Oak will face Wa All Stars in the other semifinal. The winners of both games will play each other in the final in tamale later in the month.
