Kotoko will still benefit 20% from the future transfer of Kwame Bonsu from Esperance

Kumasi Asante Kotoko stands to benefit 20% from any future transfer of Kwame Bonsu from Esperance de Tunis.

The highly-rated midfielder completed a switch from the Ghana Premier League giants in 2019 following an outstanding season.

Though it took a while for his transfer issues between the two teams to be settled, all has finally be resolved with the players now at ease over what he in the past confessed was a big worry to him.

Speaking to Oyerepa FM today, Ashford Tettey Oku who represented Kotoko to reach an agreement with Esperance has revealed that though the two clubs have been involved in a saga, the 20% benefit for the Reds remain untouched.

“Asante Kotoko won't forfeit the 20% onward transfer benefit they are supposed to get should Esperance transfer Kwame Bonsu.

“That was not part of the pact between Asante Kotoko and Esperance. There is a transfer contract from Kotoko to Esperance which is still in existence, the issue is payment of transfer fee which has been resolved, as to the onward transfer or whatever is still in existence.

“Kotoko is only hoping that the player gets a bumper deal so they get enough”, he said.
