Asante Kotoko defender Habib Mohammed is amongst 6 new players that have been handed their first call-ups into Ghana's Black Stars team.

The debutants that have been included in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan. They include AshGold right back Kwadwo Amoako, Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah, Hapoel Ra’anana boy Eugene Ansah, Brentford star Tariqe Fosu, and Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed.

While all the debutants excites pundits, it is obvious the inclusion of the local players is being particularly appreciated by fans all over.

The notable one amongst the local players is Yahaya Mohammed who will be making his national team bow after being in the system for 12 years. Currently the talisman for the Ogya Boys, he has managed to score 10 goals after matchday 12.

The other local players, Richard Attah, Kwadwo Amoako, and Habib Mohammed have been equally good in the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season and have deservedly earned call-ups.

The other new players joining the squad for the first time are Tariq Fosu and Eugene Ansah. The duo who plays for Brentford and Hapoel Ra’anana respectively have been standout players for their clubs and will be expected to help the Black Stars look for massive wins against Sudan in the upcoming double-header.
