Kotoko's level is not up for Africa- Dreams Coach Karim Zito

Dreams FC Coach Abdul Karim Zito insists Kumasi Asante Kotoko's level is not to the standard of competing in the CAF Confederations Cup. 

The record Premier League Champions will represent Ghana at Africa's second tier competition after winning the MTN FA Cup last season.

However, Karim Zito, who is a former Coach of the club indicated after beating the Kotoko with his new side Dreams FC 1-0 in the GHALCA G8, that their level is condition is not up for the continental championship.

”The conditioning and endurance of the Asante Kotoko team is very poor. The level is not up to the African Championship they are going to play and I will advise them to work on that,” Zito said in a post match interview.

Meanwhile, the Porcupine Warriors have been paired with seven times Congolese Champions, Club Athletique De Rennaisance Aiglon in the preliminary stages which begins next month.

Coach Steve Pollack and his charges have been tasked with reach the group stages of the competition by Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Dr. Kwame Kyei.

However, Coach Karim Zito and his side, who are returning to the Ghana Premier League after winning Zone III of the Division One will next face Eleven Wonders in the final group A game of the GHALCA G8 tournament.
