The midfielder has been on the radar of the Porcupine Warriors for a while with head coach Maxwell Konadu said to be an admirer of the player.

It is understood that the management of the club approached Ashgold for the player but later backed away after they were asked to pay $20,000.

Since then, Kotoko’s NCC has been in talks with the club’s management to be allowed to foot the bill of Latif Anabila to reinforce the team’s squad.

A meeting between the two parties last week concluded with the management giving the supporters group the permission to sign one player for the team.

The leadership of the NCC immediately opened talks with Ashanti Gold and the handlers of the midfielder and has since made strides.

According to sources, the deal is close to being completed and Latif Anabila will become a Red once the next transfer window is opened.
