KP Boateng nets second goal for Besiktas in 2-2 draw against Trabzonspor

German-born Ghanaian forward Kevin-Prince Boateng netted his second goal for Besiktas on Saturday afternoon in the team’s 2-2 draw against Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

In a match week 23 fixture played at the Vodafone Arena, it was the away team that took the lead after just five minutes into the first half. On-loan Crystal Palace striker Sørloth Alexander got into a good position and placed his effort into the back of the net.

After the first half break, KP Boateng restored parity for Besiktas on the 57th minutes with a fine effort. Later on the 64th minute, Croatian defender Domagoj Vida registered is name on the scoresheet to give the home team the lead for the first time in the match.

Two minutes later, Ghanaian international Caleb Ekuban came on as a substitute for Erdogan Dogan to try and help Trabzonspor look for a second goal.

His addition to the team proved crucial in the dying minutes of the encounter as he assisted Alexander Sørloth for his second of the afternoon.

The match eventually ended in a stalement with KP Boateng and Caleb Ekuban all impressing for their respective clubs.
