KP Boateng targets improved Serie A finish with Fiorentina this season

Ghanaian international, Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that it is his aim to help Italian Serie A side ACF Fiorentina finish better than they did last season.

The Viola enjoyed a good campaign in the first half of the 2018/2019 season but disappointingly endured a poor run of form in the second half which nearly sent them to relegation.

They finished 16th at the end of the season by fighting for their lives in the last couple of matches.

Having joined Fiorentina this summer, striker KP Boateng has stressed that the team is not amused by their performance in the second half of last season and are bent on making a good account of themselves when the new season starts.

“I found a group of young people aware of having disappointed in the second part of last season”.

“There is, however, a lot of serenity, because everyone has understood that there are the bases for a good start. Impossible to talk about goals, the only credible one, for now, is to do better than last season”, Boateng said in an interview with Fiorentina’s official website.

The German-born Ghanaian international has already opened his goal-scoring account for the side in the off season and featured for 90 minutes when they defeated Monza 3-1 in the Coppa Italia third round.
