Cordoba striker Kwabena Owusu will miss their Sunday's game against UCAM in Murcia and most likely also for the next one against Mérida on the 24th.

The player assigned by Leganés has helped Ghana defeated Mali in the final day of the group stage of the U23 African Cup (0-2) and has avoided what seemed a safe elimination.

The Black  Meteors reached the third and final day with just one point, after drawing (1-1) with Cameroon in the debut, with 90 minutes of Owusu. Three days ago they fell 3-2 to the hosts, Egypt, in a match in which the Cordoba player left the field at 76 minutes.

After 0-0 at the break, Owusu, who had left from the bench, achieved a magnificent double to give his victory, while from the Egyptian game came the good news they expected with a victory against Cameroon (2- one).

Ghana equaled four points with the Indomitable Lions but ranked by best overall average.

Thus, the Cordoba striker will remain in Cairo until the 22nd, Ghana will face Ivory Coast on Tuesday to battle for either the final or the third and fourth place.
