Kwadwo Asamoah to miss Ghana-Uganda 2018 WC qualifier next month after new injury setback

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will not be available for selection in Ghana’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda next month.

Asamoah who has not played for the Black Stars since Avram Grant took over from Kwasi Appiah suffered a knee injury whiles playing for his club side Juventus on Saturday.

The 27-year old is set to undergo scans on Sunday but it is feared he could be out for some weeks.

The injury could be a huge blow to Ghana as deputy captain Andre Ayew is also out of the game due to a thigh injury.

Ghana will play Uganda at the Tamale Stadium on October 7.
