Andrea Pirlo, a former teammate of Kwadwo Asamoah, has been named the head coach of Italian giants Juventus after the sacking of Maurizio Sarri.
The former midfielder was initially named U23s head coach but the sacking of Sarri left an opening for him which he has accepted.
Pirlo teamed up with Asamoah from 2012-2015 where they won multiple Scudettos and other domestic trophies.
Andrea Pirlo was a World Cup winner with Italy in 2006 and enjoyed successes with AC Milan and Juventus during his playing days.
Juventus have made it official.
