Ghanaian midfielder, Kwame Bonsu wants to win the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League with Tunisian giants Esperance Sportive de Tunis.

The player known in Ghana as Conte joined Esperance in the transfer window after helping Asante Kotoko to impressive feet at the CAF Conferedations Cup.

Granting an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, the player expressed his willingness to help the Tunisian giants win another CAF Champions League trophy.

However, according to Conte, he wants to ink his name into the team's history books as a player who helped them win a continental showpiece just like his fellow countryman, Harrison Afful did.

Conte says he draws inspiration from Harrison Afful because his name is on the lips of everyone thanks to his lone strike that won Esperance the CAF Champions League in 2011.

"In 2011, it was Afful’s solitary goal which won Esperance de Tunis the CAF Champions League title against Wydad Casablanca in a 1-0 success," Bonsu told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.

“Harrison Afful has had his name here. He is remembered here with his famous Champions League goal“

“Am feeling comfortable with my teammates here at Esperance and my dream is to help the club to win Champions League and play the club world cup as well” he ended.

Harrison Afful also joined Esperance from Asante Kotoko in 2009 and won a number of accolades including the prestigious CAF Champions League in 2011.

Esperance Sportive de Tunis were declared 2018/19 African Champions League winners after CAF's disciplinary committee Wydad Casablanca guilty of abandoning the second leg of the final in May.
