Kwasi Okyere-Wriedt scores to earn point for Willem II in draw at Waalwijk

Ghana international Kwasi Okyere Wriedt was on target on Sunday afternoon to earn a point for his Willem II Tilburg side in the draw against RKC Waalwijk.

The two clubs were in action at the Mandemakers Stadion to battle for three points on matchday 17 of the 2020/2021 Dutch Eredivisie campaign.

Making the starting eleven of the away team, Kwasi Okyere Wriedt impressed with his displays.

In the final minutes of the first half, however, KRC Waalwijk took the lead through a penalty kick converted by Anas Tahiri.

After recess, Willem II Tilburg chased the game in a bid to find a way back to possibly earn a point.

For the efforts of the team, they finally got the breakthrough in the 59th minute when striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt scored with a fine effort.

With neither side able to score again, the game has ended in a stalemate with both teams taking home a point each.

With his equalizer today, the Ghana forward has now taken his tally to three having featured in seven matches.
