Ghanaian midfielder Opoku Antwi has hit at the GFA and Sports Ministry for failing to acknowledge the recently deceased achievements in football when he was alive.

Kwasi Owusu, one of Ghana's best ever strikers died on 30th March, 2020 and received a lot of tributes for his contributions.

Antwi however posted his grievances with the major sports organizations on his social media account regarding the former striker.

“Another lroko tree has fallen. Kwasi Owusu the all time top scorer in the history of Ghana from 1970s. He was Black Stars captain for 10years. In 1970 African cup of nations he scored 9 goals in 2 matches and it remains unbreakable all time African record till now but this giant striker wasn’t recognized by Ghana football fraternity ( GFA and Ministry of Sports)."

"When he was alive GFA and the Ministry didn’t recognize his achievements so i think is not now he’s gone that they will shower him with praises because he deserved better when he was living. Father, May your soul rest in perfect peace.” He posted.
