Kyle Walker Set to Sign New Five-Year-Deal With Tottenham Worth £19.5m

Kyle Walker has committed his long-term future to Tottenham Hotspur in agreeing a new five-year-deal with the club, according toThe Sun.

The England international, 26, has followed Christian Eriksen in renewing his current deal, which will see the right-back earn £75k-a-week.

Walker arrived at White Hart Lane in 2009 and has established himself as the first-choice right-back for both his club and country, as Sam Allardyce started him in England's 1-0 World Cup qualifier win over Slovakia last week.

The arrival of Kieran Trippier from Burnley last season motivated Walker to improve his performances and earn a regular starting berth under Mauricio Pochettino - and he succeeded, making 33 appearances during Spurs' excellent Premier League campaign last season.

Walker was voted the Young Player of the Year in 2012, fending off the likes ofDanny Welbeck, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Daniel Sturridge, Sergio Aguero and Gareth Bale.

However, following that impressive surge to prominence, the full-back let his performances dip and hefaced amyriad ofdifficulties during his Tottenham career, including losing his place, suffering a serious pelvic injury that ruled him out for nine months - missing the World Cup 2014 in Brazil as a result.

Admirably, he has put a mini-fall from grace behind and re-established himself - and is set to play an important role in Spurs' Champions League campaign, which gets under way on Wednesday night when they face Monaco.

Great support today, pleased we put on a good team performance for you. Have a safe journey back #COYS pic.twitter.com/mp9xX1t9N5
