Las Palmas Chief Claims Liverpool Among 3 Clubs Who Could Sign Jese Rodriguez

Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez has said the club are unlikely to sign PSG winger Jese Rodriguez, as they cannot compete with the financial capabilities of other potential bidders.

Liverpool, AC Milan and Roma are said to be keen on the former Real Madrid star, who has failed to deliver since leaving the Bernabeu last summer.

Jese joined current French championsPSG for a reported€25m, but has made only nine Ligue 1appearances for the club, with eight of those coming as a substitute.

The 25-year-old could well be set to leave France in the January transfer window and his situation is being closely monitored by the likes of Liverpool and AC Milan, who are both keen to bolster their attacking options for the remainder of the season.

Jese has also been linked with a move back to the place of his birth in the Canary Islands, where he could join La Liga outfit Las Palmas.

However the club's president has said such a move is unlikely and hinted that the Spaniard could well join another top European side.

Miguel Angel Ramirez toldLa Provincianewspaper: "Jese Rodriguez is a great footballer. He wants to come to Las Palmas, but he is owned by PSG and earns a salary that is of his level -- and that is very high.

"Liverpool, Milan and Roma want Jese and are ready to pay what he earns. We cannot afford that salary.

"With respect to other clubs, we are at a disadvantage and hence we have to wait. But we don't want to create false expectations."
