Former PSG and Newcastle United star Laurent Robert says AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe should reject a move to Real Madrid.
Real are favourites to sign the French youngster.
But Robert says: "If Monaco decide to sell him, I do not see the interest in going to Real Madrid, where his competitors will have a much higher CV and where he would not be sure to start.
"In Paris, it would be different. Already, his family is from the Paris region and this would be a good thing for him. Moreover, in Paris, he would become the star. All of a sudden, he would give a more French and younger identity to the team.
"A year from the World Cup, it would not be idiotic to stay in Ligue 1 while developing at a media and sporting level. Because even if Monaco is champion, it is Paris that would force him to develop."
