Lawyer Yaw Boafo challenges Steve Pollack to go to court

Head of the legal affairs of Asante Kotoko, Yaw Boafo has taken a massive swipe at former coach Steve Polack over his sacking grievances and challenged him to go to court.

The Porcupine Warriors relieved the former Berekum Chelsea off his duty as coach of the club after failing to qualify the club to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

However, after Pollack was compensated with $16,000, widespread report on Wednesday suggest that the English gaffer is not happy with the money hence his decision to head to court.

Further reports also state that Pollack fingers the club's management over their failure on the continental stage.

But lawyer Boafo was not impressed with the assertion of the Englishman and challenged him to go ahead with his court claims.

"Somebody sent me a link today of Steve Polack blaming us (management) for the reason we didn't qualify.we played for 180 minutes against CARA, we could not score a goal from open play and we missed 3 penalties.I can't see how Pollack will come and tell us (management) that it's our fault," he said.

"I never knew I was a striker or a midfielder and Dr Kwame Kyei (Kotoko Executive Chairman) was a goalkeeper…Steve Pollack is the only Coach in Kotoko's history who never won 3 matches in a row so it's very good for him to go quietly…and spare this childish stuff blaming everybody, it's like a kid who's entered a candy store," he added.

Kotoko meanwhile, have replaced Polack with Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin ahead of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League campaign.
