Legon Cities coach Maxwell Konadu has revealed the strategy he used to tame his former employers, Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered their second consecutive defeat in the domestic top-flight at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The two-time African Champions were unable to make their home ground count as Legon Cities inflicted a 3-1 win over the Kumasi-based club in matchday 26 of the Ghana Premier League.

Michel Otou and a brace from experienced forward Hans Kwoffie ensured the Royals pick all points at stake.

After the game, the former Black Stars assistant coach expressed his joy to have silenced the Porcupine Warriors.

According to him, he knew Kotoko and as a result, studied them well before the clash.

"Our job speaks for us, I mean when you have a small team like Legon Cities, you don’t need to talk too much before the big games."

“It’s a team I respect so much, it’s a club I love so much, it’s a club I know so well and steadied so well before we came here.

“I think that made the trick for us. We’ve been working so hard, we were struggling at the beginning of the season. As and when the season was progressing, our game was also improving."

"The system is helping our players to get the best out of them. The players are really working hard.”
