Legon Cities dedicate win against Aduana Stars to sick head coach Bashir Hayford

Legon Cities FC dedicates its win against Aduana Stars to head coach Bashir Hayford and wishes him a speedy recovery, assistant coach Wahid Mohammed has said.

Coach Bashir Hayford was missing in action on Sunday afternoon when the Royals hosted the team from Dormaa at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In what was a matchday 26 encounter of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, Legon Cities FC players played above themselves and record a massive 2-0 win that has taken the team further away from the relegation zone.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, coach Wahid Mohammed confirmed that coach Bashir Hayford was sick and that’s why he missed the game.

“Unfortunately, he is not feeling well today and I stand on behalf of the entire team to wish him a speedy recovery. We dedicate this win to him,” the gaffer said.

Though unconfirmed, checks have revealed that coach Bashir Hayford will not recover in time for Legon Cities FC’s next match against Ashanti Gold SC.
