Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC have issued a statement to deny flouting any law in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

As of 10 April 2020, a total of 27,346 persons have been tested with 408 being positive for COVID-19, with eight (8) deaths.

As part of precautionary measures to curb the spread of the disease, the government has put a ban on all public gatherings including all sporting activities.

In line with that, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also suspended the 2019/20 football season until further notice.

However, the Royals have been camping in the Volta Region to keep their players fit ahead of league resumption.

According to reports, the club has been reported to the GFA for not complying with the directives given to clubs by them.

But Cities have released a statement to explain their decision not to break their players and keep them together.
