In the midst of Ghana's fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease, Legon Cities FC has saluted the health workers leading the lines.

Ghana just like almost every other country in the world is battling the Coronavirus. As of the morning of May 1, 2020, there had been 2,074 confirmed cases of the disease in the West African country as well as 212 recoveries and a death toll of 17.

On May Day as the World Marks International Workers Day, Legon Cities FC has applauded the efforts of health workers in the country.

A club statement from Legon Cities FC said: "What an amazing job our health workers are doing in this moment...We can only salute them on a day like this".

Legon Cities FC managed to have a decent spell in the Ghana Premier League until it had to be suspended as a precautionary measure against the Covid. They hope to continue and even do better when the storm clears and the season resumes.
