The Royals took the lead in the much-anticipated clash on Saturday but the Porcupine Warriors staged a comeback to secure maximum points at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

Nasiru Moro's scored a splendid free-kick in the 27th minute to put the host in front as they went to recess with the advantage.

But the Porcupine Warriors came from behind in the second half to secure a 3-1 away win over their opponent. The equalizer came in the 67th minute courtesy of an own goal from Mohammed Suleman.

Subsequently, Stephen Mukwala extended the lead for the away side in the 75th minute, and Isaac Oppong sealed the victory late in injury time.

Asked what caused the defeat, he said, “Maybe inexperience because if you are leading 1-0 and come in the second you need to slow the game down and that is exactly what I told them but they didn’t”

Legon Cities are currently in the relegation drop after 12 games so far this season. They are 16th on the long with 12 points.
