Legon Cities vows to end Hearts of Oak unbeaten run

Assistant coach of Legon Cities, Wahid Mohammed has said his side will end Hearts of Oak's unbeaten run.

The Royals suffered a 1-0 defeat to Karela United in the matchday 29 games at Anyinase over the weekend.

With Hearts of Oak on a resurgence with five matches to end the campaign, Mohammed speaking ahead of the game said they have put their defeat against Karela behind them and will fight to beat Hearts of Oak.

"It was a very difficult game. Karela had their chances and took them. We were not able to take ours," he said.

"It’s simply not our day but we need to focus on what’s next of us in the league (against Hearts of Oak).

"We are proud of the performance of the boys today but obviously, we need to improve in some areas and we will do exactly so in training and be ready for the next challenge.

“We take it one at a time. We will quickly put this behind us and start preparing for the Hearts game.

"We respect them but we will make sure, we beat them at our home,” he added.

Legon Cities will host Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the matchday 30 games on Wdnesday.
