Leicester and Southampton are both interested in signing Swansea winger Modou Barrow, according to theMirror.

Barrow made his Premier League debut for the Swans in 2014, but has become a regular in the first-team this season, making 12 league appearances and picking up two assists. His form has seen him linked with league champions Leicester, who have struggled for form this season, and Southampton.

Saints boss Claude Puel is reportedly a big admirer of the Gambia international, having scouted him during his time in Sweden, but may be forced tofork out £15m in order to sign the winger.

Both Leicester and Southampton were interested in signing Barrow during the summer but the 24-year-old instead signed fresh terms to keep him atthe Liberty Stadium until 2019, which includes a £15m buyout clause.

The two sides may well go head-to-head for the signing of Barrow in January, with both teams needing fresh ideas going forward.

Leicester have lacked the same zip and venom to their attacking play this season, with the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy finding form difficult to come by.

Mahrez scored a penalty at the weekend but has just two goals and one assist in 12 Premier League games this season. Vardy finished last season with 24 league goals, but has only managed two goals in this campaign.

Southampton wingers Nathan Redmond and Dusan Tadic have struggled for form thus far this year, scoring a combined four league goals between themthis season. The Saints are 11th after the last round of Premier League matches, while Leicester are still struggling down in 14th.
