Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare says he is happy to see former player Jeffrey Schlupp play regular football in the English Premier League.

Schlupp who joined Crystal Palace from Leicester for £12.5m in January has been playing week in week out for Palace.

As reported by the Leicester Mercury, Shakespeare said, "It doesn't matter now what I wanted to do, the club made the decision.

"He was a player I had a lot of time for. He was a home-grown, coming through the academy, and he was well liked in the group.

"But he has moved on now and good to see him playing regular football, which he wanted.

"It is Palace's issue now and problem how to get him playing consistently. Hopefully he will get that chance at Palace."
