Juventus centre back Leonardo Bonucci has finally put an end to months of speculation surrounding his future, after agreeing a contract extension with the Old Lady.
The Italian has long been linked with a move to Premier League heavyweightsChelsea andManchester City, as manager Pep Guardiola continues to search for a solution to his defensive issues.
However, it would appear that the 29-year-old won't be leaving Turin anytime soon, after the clubwebsiterevealed that their man hadsigned a new deal that ties him downuntil 2021.
Bonucci has become an important member of the Juventus side ever since he joined from Bari in 2010. He has currently made 291 appearances and has scored 16 goals in his six-and-a-half years with the club.
Recognised as one of Italy's best defenders, Bonucci is also known for his ability to play the ball out from the back and was understandably linked with a number of other European sides before agreeing to extend his stay.

The defender is currently sidelined due to a thigh strain and hasn't played since late November. Although he is expected to return in the new year, his absence has done little to alter Juventus' momentum as they look to retain their Serie A title for the fifth consecutive year.
The Old Lady sit seven points clear at the top of the table after they beat second-placed Roma 1-0 last Saturday. With one match to be playedbefore the winter break, Juventus are guaranteed to sit top over Christmas and Bonucci's new deal will have helped add to the feel-good factor around the club, as they look set for another trophy laden 2017.
