Let’s disabuse our minds that someone can stop teams from qualifying for GPL - Harrison Addo

General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Prosper Harrison Addo, says people must disabuse their minds of the perception that individuals within the FA can prevent certain clubs from qualifying for the Ghana Premier League.

There have been discussions among some football administrators that their teams cannot qualify from the National Division One League to the Ghana Premier League under Kurt Okraku’s leadership.

Notable personalities like George Afriyie of Susubribi United and Alhaji Salam Yabubu of Berekum Arsenal have stated that their teams can't qualify.

However, Harrison Addo explains that the team at the top of the table qualifies for the GPL, and no one else can prevent a team from qualifying.

"Let's take a club like Heart of Lions; they have been very consistent. During the year when Accra Lions and Tema Youth were competing for the Zone Three spot, Heart of Lions were also there fighting," he told Asempa FM.

"The table determines who qualifies. Let's disabuse our minds of the notion that someone can prevent another team from qualifying for the Ghana Premier League. Not under my watch."
