Captain of Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals Samuel Sarfo has shared his experience of training with the Black Stars for the first time.

The defender who has been impressive in the Ghana Premier League has scored six goals and was nominated NASCO player of the month of May.

Samuel Sarfo is part of the seven local players that have been called up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ethiopia next month.

“These are stars of our time. They are the stars we have in Ghana. It’s a priveledge for someone like me or a local player to train with such stars,” he told reporters.

With seven local players called up, Samuel Sarfo believes it will serve as a motivation for the players playing in the Ghana Premier League.

“I think it’s a morale bolster for us and also it will enhance our performance because they are playing abroad and they have been here for quite a small time. So they little they bring on board we have to tap into that so that we can also be the best we can,” he added

The Black stars began training on Tuesday with 16 players present at Coach Kwesi Appiah’s first session.
