Liberty Professionals midfielder George Amoako has rejected a contract offer from Tunisian side US Tataouine and is due back in Ghana in the coming days, according to 442gh.com.

The deal could not materialised after Amoako failed to agree personal terms with the club, despite passing his mandatory medical.

The report further stated that, the club presented to him a contract with a monthly salary, 75% less than the agreed salary.

Despite his impressive output for the Dansoman-based side which caught the eyes of the Tunisians, the highly-rated midfielder will be flying back to join his counterparts to continue the Ghana Premier league.

Amoako has been Liberty’s best player so this season, helping the Scientific Soccer lads climb to 13th on the league table with 10 points, six points adrift second-placed Hearts of Oak after nine matches played, with a game in hand.

He has made seven appearances for Liberty in the league thus far.
