The London giants have enquired about Yossef En-Nesyri and are set to follow up on their initial interest by asking Sevilla for a price quote on the striker.

Arsenal might have an immediate requirement to add strikers next summer, with the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in doubt, as both have entered the last year of their respective contracts. However, the Gunners are reportedly looking at Morocco international as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international just signed a new contract last summer, but his form has declined since. The Spanish manager is hopeful the African striker will recover from his slump the previous campaign to fire for the side this campaign, and the Gunners centre-forward scored a hat-trick in his first start this campaign in the Carabao Cup.

However, the concerns around his long-term future look to be bothering the Gunners to some degree. The 24-year-old striker could be the replacement Mikel Arteta might like, owing to his playing style and age.

However, a winter move may not be possible as Sevilla will not sell their important centre-forward in the middle of the campaign, although next summer could be the time for the transfer. It stays to be seen how much La Liga giants demand for the Moroccan striker from the Gunners or other suitors.

Arsenal will surely be hoping Aubameyang has a terrific campaign, but with Lacazette leaving next year, the African centre-forward could come and become the Gunners’ centre-forward for the long-term future.
