Ligue 1 Side Lille Show Interest in Liverpool Outcast Mamadou Sakho

Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho has been a very peripheral figure at the club since his social media outburst in the summer, and has only featured in their U23s side ever since.

However, his spell of exclusion could be close to coming to an end.Mercato365report thatFrench Ligue 1side Lille have expressed an interest in Sakho, who has already played for Paris St-Germain in the country.

The 26-year-old has not been involved in any Premier League match this season, and Jurgen Klopp's preference of James Milner in the place of the struggling Alberto Moreno instead of Sakho is only evidence that the player might as well have left already in Klopp's view. Sakho is a natural full-back, whereas Milner is not.

Lille have been monitoring several Premier League players in an attempt to compete with PSG, who are currently running riot in Ligue 1 without competition due to their new finances. The Liverpool defender is just one of their potential targets.

Sakho was offered the chance to join Tony Pulis's West Bromwich Albion in the summer, but made a decision to fight for his Liverpool place instead in a move which looks decidedly dodgy in hindsight. Like Nacer Chadli, Sakho could have immediately become one of the Baggies' star players.

Instead, his talent continues to rot away wastefully in secondary Liverpool teams.
