Ghana defender Gideon Mensah has emerged on the radar of four French clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 22-year old is currently on loan at Portuguese outfit, Vitoria Guimaraes and has courted interest from Lille, Saint Etienne, Stade Reims and Bordeaux due to his impressive run of form.

According to reports, Mensah will return to parent club Red Bull Salzburg at the end of the season as financial constraints have prevented Guimaraes from making the deal permanent, leaving his doors open.

The Red Bull Salzburg owned player is enjoying a stellar campaign in Portugal, having played 22 games in the Liga Pro.

The former WAFA player has been named in the squad for the friendlies against Ivory Coast and Morocco next month after missing out for sometime now.
