LIVE UPDATES: Cameroon v Ghana – U-20 AFCON quarter-finals

Good afternoon and welcome to the live text commentary session of today’s first quarter-final match in the Africa youth championship.

The Ghana U-20 team is set to take on the Cameroon U-20 team this afternoon in the quarter-finals of the 2021 Total CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Although the Black Satellites finished the Group Stage of the tournament in the third position of Group C, they managed to qualify as one of the best third-placed teams to the knockout stage.

Drawn to face Cameroon, the Ghana U-20 team faces a tough test from the opponent that finished top of their group after winning all three matches.

Ahead of kick-off at 16:00GMT, Black Satellites coach Karim Zito has named a strong starting eleven to do battle for his side.
