Liverpool are reportedly one of a number of Premier League clubs watchingVitoria Guimaraes 25-year oldstrikerMoussa Marega.

According toFootmercato, Tottenham have also shown interest in the Malian international, as well asWatford, Sunderland, Stoke and Crystal Palace.

On loan at Vitoria from Portuguese giants Porto, Marega has scored an impressive ten goals in just eight games so far this season. He joined Porto fromMarítimo having been on the verge of signing for Sporting Lisbon, but failed to settle at his new club, prompting the loan move.

Marega spent theearly stages of hiscareer in the lower leagues of French football with Evry FC, Le Poirr-sur-Vie and Amiens.

It seems the player's goalscoring form this season has been the catalyst for the interest, although Porto are likely to be keen to have him back in their squad once the loan ends.

Nicknamed the ˜Terminator',Marega is currently the second top scorer in Europe's top leaguesbehind Frenchman Anthony Modeste who hasscored 11 goals in nine matches in the Bundesliga with Cologne.

His price may be an obstacle, however. He reportedly has a £36m buyout clause in his contract at Porto, a hefty fee for a relatively unproven 25-year old.

Marega scored a hat-trick in Vitoria's 3-0 win at Rio Ave on Sunday, with his team sitting in 5th in the Primeira Liga.
