Liverpool have had two bids rejected by AS Monaco for winger Thomas Lemar.
Sky Sports claims that the latest bid was worth £64.5m, which followed their initial bid of £55m.
Monaco are said to be determined to hold on to the Frenchman, having previously rejected multiple bids from Arsenal earlier in the summer.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp last week expressed his desire to strengthen his squad after the Reds secured qualification to the Champions League group stage.
"It's [Champions League qualification] a big influence on the transfer market, especially if we do it more often," he said.
"I said I think before the game, if you talk to a player, they really often [mention it]... especially players we talk to."
Lemar starred for Monaco in their title-winning campaign last season. He managed 12 goals in 39 appearances and established himself as a starter for the French national team.
