Liverpool will not consider entering any battle for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Reds and Manchester United have been linked with Cesc this week.
But theLiverpool Echo says Anfield officials have rubbished suggestions that they are locked in a battle with rivals Manchester United to secure the 29-year-old services.
Klopp is keen to strengthen his centre midfield options this summer but Red Bull Leipzig's Naby Keita remains his preferred option in that department.
The Guinea international, who has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich, has enjoyed a fine season in the Bundesliga.
