Liverpool Set Sights on Young Swedish Starlet Dubbed 'Next Zlatan Ibrahimovic'

Liverpool look set to make a movemove for young Swedish forward Alexander Isak, according toreports.


The 17-year-old, who has been dubbed as the 'next Zlatan Ibrahimovic', has drawn interest from a number of European clubs due to his promising form for AIK Stockholm.

Hebecame a fans' favourite in the Swedish capital last weekendafter he scored two goals against local-rivals Djurgårdens in a 3-0 win, capping off a memorable 17th birthday for the Sweden U17 international.


Isak, who is of Eritreanancestry, is a towering forward with a number ofsimilaritiesto Man Utd star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.


Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on the teenager, but he will face stiff competition from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, all of whom are alsointerested according toSport.


Isak's AIK team-mate Obasi told Swedish outlet FotbollSkanalen: "He is a great potential, and I absolutely believe that he will go far.

"If he concentrates and continues as he is, I think he can become Sweden's next Ibrahimovic.


"He has the potential, everyone can see it."


Jurgen Klopp is known as a manger with ability to nurture young talent, meaning that Isak could be a prime candidate to join the German's squad in the coming seasons.


However, it will be tough to deviate attention away from Barcelona and Real Madrid's interest, especially as the player admitted that it was 'pretty fun' to see club's following him.


Isak has scored six goals in 17 appearances for AIK so far this season, also scoring two goals in six for Sweden's U17 side.
