LIVERPOOL, Sturridge: "It's great to be back, I see myself staying put"

Published on: 18 July 2018

Back at Liverpool, after last half-season loan spell at West Bromwich Albion, English striker Daniel Sturridge (28) told Daily Mirror: “I see myself staying with Reds, hopefully being part of the team week in, week out. Pre-season is going well, so for me it's keeping my head down, and building on that. I’m excited about the season ahead, and it feels great to be back. Pre-season started well, for me and the team. I am feeling great and can't wait to get the season under way. We have the tour to come, during which we'll face some great teams, like Man. United, Man. City, and Dortmund”. Former Chelsea and City forward is on a deal with Reds only until June 2019.
