RB Leipzig's Emil Forsberg has been voted the second-best player in the Bundesliga so far this season by his fellow peers.
Forsberg has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League title challengers Liverpool, after the Merseyside club made him their number one target for the January transfer window.
With Jurgen Klopp keen to add reinforcements to his squad and find cover for the absent Sadio Mane, who is away on international duty, the Leipzig playmaker is seen as the ideal candidate to help the Reds in the second half of the season.
Forsberg has had a superb first half of the season for the surprise Bundesliga title challengers and the Swede currently leads the division's assists tally with an impressive total of eight.

And the 25-year-old's form appears to have not only impressed Liverpool, but also many other footballerscurrently plying their trade in the Bundesliga, after German magazineKickerannounced that the Swedish internationalcame second in a recent survey that asked players to chose who they thought had been the best player so far this season.
In first place, perhaps unsurprisingly considering his status as top scorer, cameBorussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whoreceived 33.6% of the votes.
Forsberg followed a fair distance behind in second with 22.1%, although he was also someway ahead of third placed Robert Lewandowski, who won just 14.3% of the votes.
The survey saw Kicker ask 238 Bundesliga players to name their top candidate and with nearly a quarter of those that replied nominating Forsberg, it's easy to see why Jurgen Klopp is desperate to sign the playmaker andbring him to Anfield in the near future.
