Liverpool Youngster Sheyi Ojo Suffers Injury Setback During Recovery From Back Fracture

Published on: 27 September 2016

Liverpool's 19-year old winger Sheyi Ojo has suffered another setback on the road to recovery having just announced that he was ready to return to action.

The youngster posted on Twitter last week that he was going to be back on the pitch following positive scan results but it seems the England Under 19 international is set for a longer spell on the sidelines than first thought.

Scan results went well today so finally ready to come back! 💯 back on the pitch this week.. 😉 pic.twitter.com/oEB7O4gKbt

Ojo was handed his first-team debut by JurgenKlopp in January and has made 11 appearances for the club, finishing the season as the preferred option to Jordon Ibe, who left for Bournemouth in the summer.

He was tipped for another impressive year in 2016/17, but his involvement with the England Under 19s in the European Championship didn't allow him a proper break in the summer, having helped them reach the semi-finals.

After this post on Twitter, it seems the flying winger is going to be out for at least a little while longer.

With the attacking football Liverpool are playing at the moment it may well suit Ojo down to the ground if he is to make his way back into JurgenKlopp's thoughts on his return.
