Loris Karius Claims Liverpool Respect But Do Not Fear Manchester United

Liverpool's new number one Loris Karius has said that Liverpool are not afraid of their arch rivals but do respect them as Manchester United prepare to host the Merseysiders on the 17 October.

The German broke his hand during pre-season but has now established himself ahead of Simon Mignolet in the goalkeeping hierarchy, having started the previous two league games and is likely to play in Monday's fixture.

Having spent £150m in the summer on the likes of Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mikhitarian and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Manchester United, are however in a disappointing sixth position - five points behind Manchester City.
