Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah has bemoaned his side's failure to take their chances in their 1-0 defeat to Kenya in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.

The Black Stars created as many as 13 goal scoring opportunities but failed to convert any.

Coach Appiah who was hoping to make it two out of two wins insists the defeat was just unfortunate.

"We had a lot of chances but it’s just unfortunate we couldn’t utilize any," Appiah said. "I believe Kenya did well but we could have done better with the chances we had. We should have at least converted them."

Ghana will seek to recover from the Nairobi setback with a home game against Sierra Leone in October.
