It's been a fantastic season for Liverpool so far, as the Reds are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, after an emphatic 6-1 victory over Watford on Sunday.

The high-tempo 'gegenpressing' style has been the hallmark of Klopp's success at the Anfield club, and one of the players benefiting most from the system is captain Jordan Henderson.

According toOptastats, the 26-year-old midfielder has covered the most ground of any player in the Premier League this season so far.

The stats which calculatethe distance covered across all Premier Leaguegames, show that the Liverpool skipper has run a fairly incredible 130km across the eleven games this campaign - or more than three marathons.

Interestingly, in addition to the lung busting efforts, the former Sunderland manhas also completed the most passes in the league this term(830), boastinga full 100 passes more than his nearest challenger in Manchester City's Fernandinho.

Once derided, after his £20m move from Wearside to Merseyside back in 2011, the England international has risen to the task and has become a key player for both club and country.

Henderson has one goal and two assists in eleven league appearances and if he can add a few more to his game, he could be an early contender for player of the season.
