Majeed Ashimeru scores superb goal in FC St. Gallen win over FC Zurich

Ghanaian youngster Majeed Ashimeru was on target for St. Gallen in their 3-1 win over  FC Zurich in the Swiss top-flight league at the Kybun Park on Wednesday.

FC St. Gallen recorded a huge win in their matchday 19 fixture of the season.

Swiss international Simone Rapp scored twice on the 13th and 52nd minute to hand the home side a 2-0 lead.

Ashimeru completed their demolition exercise over the Swiss giants with his stunning strike on the 71st minute of the game.

Five minutes later, Nigerian international Stephen Odey netted the consolation goal for FC Zurich.

The 21-year-old lasted the entire duration of an entertaining match.

He has made 20 appearances and bagged two goals with two assists for FC St. Gallen in all competition.

He began his football career from a small club team which is Strong Tower F/C(Mamobi).

The highly-rated midfielder made his Premier League debut for West African Football Academy on 20 March 2016 in a game against Liberty Professionals F.C.
